Imaging of a 79-year-old female, who sustained a transcorporeal hyperextension fracture of L2, with 10° of anterior diastasis before surgery (a), treated by cemented percutaneous osteosynthesis. We observed an increase in anterior diastasis to 21° immediately after surgery (b), which reduced to 9° at the last follow-up (c), enabling osseous healing despite necrosis at the fracture site (d).
