(A) A plate was inserted from the proximal incision to the distal incision along the periosteal surface of the bone using a minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis technique. A locking plate spanning from the PFR to the level of the femoral condyles was utilized. (B) A bone fragment extracted during prior osteotomy (white arrow) was placed between the PFR and locking plate such that they would not come into direct contact.
