A six-year-old boy, diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, who was treated by intercalary resection followed by reconstruction of the right humerus using a free-vascularized fibular graft. Coronal (A) and sagittal (B) T1 magnetic resonance images show a tumor located at the diaphyseal region of the humerus without involvement of the proximal or distal growth plates. A postoperative anteroposterior radiographic view (C) shows an intercalary reconstruction of the humerus with a free-vascularized fibular graft. (D) Radiograph showing initial consolidation of the fibular graft at the two-month follow-up. Although fixation was possible with just a few screws, the fibula graft was able to integrate within two months, making the reconstruction stable.
